ROBERT DEJONGH SR.
Robert de Jongh Sr. has served American Institute of Architects with a long, distinguished history. He served as President of the Virgin Islands Chapter of the American Institute of Architects on several occasions. He lead initiatives involving governance and advocacy for improvement to the urban fabric throughout the Virgin Islands. In 2018, Robert deJongh, Sr. was elevated to Emeritus at the Institute.
Robert de Jongh Sr. served as President of the Virgin Islands Chapter of the American Institute of Architects on several occasions. He and his wife, Donna Criner deJongh, founded their company, The deJongh Group, in 1973 in the Virgin Islands, to engage in the general practice of architecture.

THE deJONGH GROUP WAS FOUNDED IN 1973 AND HAVE DOTTED THE TERRITORY WITH A WIDE RANGE OF ARCHITECTURAL TREASURES, MANY OF WHICH YOU PASS EVERYDAY.

Nationally, Bob has participated on the National AIA Contract Documents committee, assisting in shaping the industry standard documents, used around the world. Without hesitation, Bob has always participated in educational forums, inspiring young architects across the country.
The deJongh Group, along with Robert and Donna individually, have made significant contributions to the professional community as well as to the communities at large. They have always supported and participated in local events and community contributions. Most recently, the team lead or participated in design charrettes for Garden Street, Savan/Lower Kronprindsens Gade, Hospital Ground, Coral Bay Community Engagement and many more spanning their 46 year professional career in the Virgin Islands."

Robert was the sitting AIA VI Chapter President for two terms. Donna has served on the Multi-Cultural Task Force of the AIA National Diversity Committee. Robert served with AIA National on the AIA Documents Committee for a ten-year term. Both are Registered Architects in The US Virgin Islands, District of Columbia and State of Georgia. Additionally, Donna is Registered in the State of Texas.
